Ambulance squad-‘Help is needed'

Imagine your child is playing on the monkey bars, hanging upside down like he always does, and he slips, falling to the ground in a heap. You pick him up and notice his arm is obviously broken, and he is screaming in pain. How long are you willing to wait until an ambulance arrives?
How about if grandpa starts complaining that his arm is hurting, and his jaw, too, and he’s feeling a little short of breath. You realize he is having a heart attack. How long are you willing to wait for an ambulance? Five minutes? Ten? How about an hour or even more?
That "hour or even more" could be a real possibility for folks in Underwood and the surrounding area if more ambulance squad recruits aren’t found soon and the local residents have to rely on an ambulance coming from another district, from even as far as Bismarck.
Right now there are 18 members on the Underwood Ambulance Department, according to squad leader Corey Neff. To adequately provide service to a town Underwood’s size and the surrounding coverage area, 25 to 30 members are needed.
