Water main breaks costly ‘blessing’
Underwood’s recent water main breaks that ended up forcing a “boil order” on the residents of Underwood was deemed a “blessing in disguise” by Underwood City Commissioner Jay Snyder at last Wednesday’s special meeting of the commission.

As of Tuesday morning, Underwood residents were being advised that they could run drinking water out of the tap without having to boil it first, as the city continued its recovery from a complete water shut-down after a series of water main breaks starting about 2:30 Friday morning.
