TL-M prom going ‘Roaring 20s’
Look for some Gatsby-inspired suits and dresses this Saturday as Turtle Lake-Mercer celebrates the Roaring 20s at this year’s prom Saturday night at the Ed Rath Auditorium in Turtle Lake. The grand march is set to start at 7 p.m.

Govens passionate about conservative views
At this point in their lives, they don’t plan on running for office in the future, but Turtle Lake-Mercer alums and current University of North Dakota students Victoria and Brooke Goven are already passionate about their conservative views.
No decision on co-op increase
After less than an hour of looking over and discussing the recent co-op survey results the Turtle Lake-Mercer School Board conducted, the board took no official action toward approving additional co-ops with Underwood and McClusky schools.

Dollar General gets ‘ok’ from city
The Underwood City Commission put out the proverbial welcome mat for Dollar General to come to Underwood, approving the Planning and Zoning Board’s recommendation to change the zoning of Outlot “D” on the east side of Underwood from “Agriculture” to “General Commercial” at its meeting Wednesday night.

One-of-a-kind, The Hymnus Tree
Underwood’s Alisha Schieber was putting a few finishing touches on her new business Friday afternoon, anxiously awaiting the soft opening of her new artisan boutique and craft studio, The Hymnus Tree, a little later that day.
Main Street improvements starting this spring
Turtle Lake’s main street spruce-up will be starting this spring as the city, local business owners and Lyle Hogue of the Lewis and Clark Development Group began working together to determine how the $100,000 Main Street Initiative grants should be used.
