Yes, families were seated a proper social/physical distance away from one another at Sunday’s Turtle Lake-Mercer graduation, but as the ceremony progressed and the speakers addressed those in attendance, it was obvious they were focused on their memories and their futures – not the coronavirus impacted present.

Some things were a little different at the Turtle Lake American Legion Post #133’s annual Memorial Day Program, but the emotions of those in attendance were the same as they honored America’s fallen veterans.

The Turtle Lake-Mercer graduating class of 2020 will hold its commencement ceremony this Sunday at 2 p.m. in the school gymnasium, followed by a parade processional down Main St. immediately following the ceremony.
