The US Senate voted against a price cap on insulin for private insurers during its reconciliation of the sweeping Inflation Reduction Act.

Fun with Firefighters
The Underwood Fire Department hosted its Fun with Firefighters event Saturday at Poolside Park in Underwood. Kids enjoyed playing in the large foam pit, putting out fires in a mock building, a fire hydrant splash zone, food, and giveaways.
The Underwood City Commission passed a motion to increase the fee for residents to have water turned back on after 60 days of non-payment.

The Riverdale-Pick City Women’s Club’s second annual Summer Vendor Show was Saturday at Misty Square in Riverdale.
Underwood votes to increase ambulance mill levy
After the July 13 vote, Underwood voters opted to increase the ambulance mill levy from five to 15 mills.

Bringing the Old to the New
Fervent Fire Ministries hosted a special event at the First Assembly of God Church in Underwood over the weekend, including church services, live music, bouncy inflatable houses for the kids, giveaways, puppet shows, and of course, food.
